In 1996 Craig Atkinson established CYC Design Corporation as a production management company focused on exporting North American goods to Japan, where he lived for seven years importing vintage Americana and acting as a sales agent for North American brands. Inspired by Japanese desire for North American fashion and vintage replica product, Atkinson began collaborating with knitting mills in North America to produce proprietary fabrics based on early to mid-1900’s sportswear.
In 2005 CYC opened its Vancouver factory to maximize manufacturing quality for in-house brand wings+horns, as well as its growing private label business. After several years of handcrafting high quality fleece garments for CYC’s clientele, premiere sweatshirt brand Reigning Champ was launched in 2007. Both brands continue to be designed and manufactured by CYC in Vancouver, Canada.

This Fall/Winter 2014 wings+horns celebrated its 10th anniversary with a collection inspired by Canada’s North. Representing a decade of quality and innovation, the collection also included a series of special anniversary projects with partners including Canada Goose, Danner, New Balance, Porter, George Cox and Nanamica/Ace Hotels
